Dragonfly Cottage was the perfect spot for our Christmas getaway. If you’re over 6’5” this May not be the place for you given some of the low ceilings. The cottage was charming and I would stay again.

This is the perfect place for a quiet, private getaway in nature, yet it’s very close to all the shops and restaurants in town. We came to hike and this was our perfect home base. Super clean, extremely comfortable bed, cozy couch, and the very best part is the view from the kitchen table - the perfect place to drink coffee and take in the beautiful scene. Highly recommend!

Perfect for long weekend getaway!

We had a nice stay at the dragonfly cottage. The location was great and cozy cottage feel for our family of four and our dog. Some recommendations would be investing in a better mattress for the large bedroom and better water pressure in the shower.

Beautiful country cottage!  It so quiet and peaceful the evenings fire was so relaxing. Plus there was great food and steak house right in town.

First thing you notice upon arrival is the location is very quiet with birds chirping and frogs croaking in the neighbor's pond. There's a large, well maintained yard with chairs, picnic table, and hammock. The house was very clean with towels laid out in each bedroom and the kitchen had soaps and paper towels ready. Spring water was provided for drinking as the tap/well water has a sulfur smell. Others commented on the showerhead but I liked the high pressure mist setting (Luxsego High Pressure Shower Head), and it has a filter which helps with the well water. Yes, the house is old but renovated nicely. The floors from one room to the next are uneven and the ceiling heights are a mix of very low (~6.5 to 7 feet) to high vaulted ceilings. I am 6'1" and had no issues. Internet and TV worked fine. This is my second rental from MVR and they are friendly and responsive, and their properties are clean and well maintained.

We were in town to hike, bike & enjoy Wellsboro. Although Dragonfly’s east of Wellsboro & most outdoor activities it was still very convenient. Clean, stocked & nicely decorated. Kitchen area (window), foyer, large living room & master bdrm are favorites. Note: Ceilings in original hall, laundry, bath & bdrm 2 are 6.5 feet. Welcome upgrades would be a master boxspring or board under the mattress, a larger bathroom sink & a normal shower head. TY

Cozy home in a great location.

Dragonfly was a great rental. The location was very easy to get to and private. We always appreciate country living. I felt bad turning the heat on, because the air conditioners were already in the windows. But it was such a cold weekend, we had to. We had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable. The layout was a bit tricky with the uneven floors. However, we got used to it pretty quickly. They were clearly marked, but it was just unusual. We would rent it again if we go back to the area.

We had a wonderful time at this little house! We went for a quick Easter getaway and had a lovely peaceful time. We made dinners at the house and ate at some great local spots. We visited the PA Grand Canyon saw a lot of wildlife. Just what we had hoped for. We would definitely come back again!

My Father and I rented this Air Bnb for our annual Hunting Trip! It was exactly as described, and Easy access. Location was perfect, close to town, and close to our hunting location! Would 5/5 stay here again!

This property is quaint, it is larger on the inside than it looks from the outside. Perfect mix of convenience, location to town and has the privacy that we were looking for in our getaway weekend.

Cute little house for a weekend to unwind and relax in private. We ended up going to Leonard Harris State Park to see the Grand Canyon of PA, and It was beautiful! Turkey Path was awesome but kicked our butts! The Roost restaurant was amazing, and everything was really close to the house. cute little town with a lot of history, would love to go back and explore the park more!

We enjoyed our stay in Wellsboro. The home was immaculate and very private. We had hoped to see wildlife but alas, no such luck. I think it would be helpful to let guests know that the road into the house is not paved. We were fine with it but those who have low cars may have problems in driving on the gravel. Everything was great with the home. Highly recommend it.

This is a comfy, but quirky little hideaway. Everything we needed for our 3-night stay was there and all amenities listed were available. The floors are uneven and marked with warnings, but we had to be especially conscious of that. Yes, we did trip several times before getting used to the varying height change between the hallway and living room. There was plenty of hot water but the water pressure at the shower head was very low, so some patience is needed there. We were glad that other blankets were available because we found the duvets too warm for the summer weather. The room air conditioners worked just fine but we decided we didn't need them after all. The beds and living room furniture were all comfortable. Streaming services on the TV worked well for us. We enjoyed sitting outside and did some stargazing. This location was great for us to enjoy the PA Grand Canyon for 2 days. We'd come back here without hesitation.

Ok, floors were uneven and soft on places. Beds were somewhat soft. Very low ceilings and doorways if you’re 6’2” go elsewhere.

The place was so cute. They had all the amenities anyone would need. We loved the peacefulness but yet close to everything. We were pretty busy so didn’t use all available but nice to know they were there! Will definitely consider another stay there ! Not for the elderly (due to steps and uneven step ups/downs in flooring inside). But a super cute place and roomy!!! Had a great time!!

Our stay was spectacular, the cottage is very cute, clean, convenient location and close to the town shops, grocery and restaurants in Wellsboro. A short drive to Colton Point to see the Grand Canyon of PA. Dragonfly Cottage has all the amenities you need, from kitchen supplies to fresh drinking water and convenience items, towels, linens, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. The fire pit was nice to sit by day or night, along with star gazing at night.

The cottage was exactly what we were looking for. Quiet and secluded but still close to town. We would definitely stay here again.

We had such a great time at the cottage. Very quaint, super cute decorated Even though it is a small cottage there is plenty of room on the inside. Sitting out, we enjoyed listening to birds and the serenity of what we were surrounded by. Highly recommend this gem in the woods but only 5 min. from town.

Dragonfly Cottage had everything we needed for a stay in the mountains. Perfect location- only minutes from downtown Wellsboro. Kitchen was well equipped and had a good sized refrigerator. Furniture was very comfortable. We will definitely stay here again!

Loved this place and it fit our needs perfectly for the price. As others have stated, the water is sulfury, but was nice they provided bottled water for drinking, coffee, and cooking. Plenty of everything you would need in the kitchen.

Very nice weekend. Beautiful location

We loved Dragonfly Cottage! Perfect for a couple’s long weekend. We explored Wellsboro and west on rte. 6, down to Benezette for some elk viewing and of course the PA Grand Canyon. The cottage was super clean, warm and cozy. Check in and entry was a breeze, as was check out.

Note, if you’re over 6’ you will hit your head on a couple low areas in the ceiling. Just part of the charm of an older restored home. We will definitely be back.

My sister and I stayed at DragonFly Cottage - a beautiful and quiet, peaceful location! Would definitely rent again. Everything we needed was there. Only negatives are the sulfur smell in the water and the bugs (this is the time of year for wasps and stinkbugs to invade homes). Beds were very comfortable and the family room a dream! Plenty of hot water for showers. The price per night is a steal for everything you get staying here. Would highly recommend.

We loved our weekend stay at this historic property in a secluded location, yet a short drive to town. It was clean and well-equipped. When we accidentally flipped a breaker (don't try to make hot water and coffee at the same time!) the property manager answered immediately.

Our only complaints were that my 6'4" husband hit his head several times (the charm of an older home!) and the ice maker didn't work. There were two trays but next time I would bring some from home.

Just as described. The location was great. Easy access to town, Pa Grand Canyon, and Cherry Springs State Park. A good supply of toiletries, towels, paper towels, dishes, coffee & cream, and bottled water. Unfortunately, we didn't get to take advantage of the firepit but it looked relaxing and there was a supply of wood. Very relaxing weekend.

The Dragonfly cottage was a perfect spot for a long weekend in Wellsboro. To kitchen was well equipped, the grill was in great condition and the firepit was fully stocked with dry wood. The layout and decor of the cottage was wonderful, and we'll make it a point to stay here again on our next trip to town!

It is so nice to be able to rent a whole house.  The distance from town was fabulous.  The uneven floors did not present a problem.  That kitchen table was very sturdy.  We borrowed several fans from family and friends.  Air conditioning would have been a nice feature.  It was a very nice piece of property.  It really gave a feeling of being out in the country.

Very clean and cozy cottage - lots of windows and plenty of fun things to do outside.  Only a few minutes down the road to downtown Wellsboro and the PA Grand Canyon.  Heads up that some of the rooms have fairly low ceilings so it might be a tight squeeze for taller folks.

We enjoyed our stay and always have a great time in Wellsboro!  This location is close to town but still fairly secluded.
