Moreover, we aim to ignite a passion for science by demonstrating its integral role in our daily lives, right in our own neighborhoods and backyards.
Exploring the Hometown Science Series
As a pivotal component of the Hometown Science Series & Festival, we proudly present the Hometown Science Series, a year-round calendar of engaging events. These speaker sessions and film screenings are open to the public and designed to showcase local scientific achievements and delve into captivating scientific topics pertinent to northcentral Pennsylvania.
But that’s not all! Our flagship event, the Hometown Science Festival, is set to take place on the Green in Wellsboro, PA, on Saturday, August 12th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This festival promises a day filled with hands-on science activities for children and families. We’ve invited community members actively involved in scientific pursuits to lead these exciting activities. And here’s the best part: everyone in our community is invited to join us in celebrating and expanding their knowledge of local science!
