A Nostalgic Journey to Christmas Eve 1940
Transport yourself to a snowy Christmas Eve in 1940 Wellsboro, where radio personality Betty Bristol hosts her evening show, taking calls from listeners and spinning holiday favorites. This original cabaret-style production, created by local writer Lilace Guignard in collaboration with director Jessie Thompson and musical director Anne Acker, weaves together local lore, period radio commercials performed live, and beautiful holiday songs that will warm your heart.
The show features Karin Knaus of Westfield as Betty Bristol, a widow spending her Christmas Eve on the air, surrounded by talented local singers and accompanied by Gary Citro’s live piano performance throughout the evening.
