Fridays in Mansfield just got a little more exciting! With the launch of the Mansfield Final Friday Market, locals and visitors alike have a new monthly event to look forward to from June through October.

Set against the charming backdrop of downtown Mansfield, the market will be hosted on the final Friday of each month, creating a buzz of activity and celebration. Located at the parking lot between 10 West Espresso and Vintage Goods on 23 N. Main St., this vibrant event promises something for everyone.

The inception of the Mansfield Final Friday Market was sparked by a collaborative effort among community members. Organizer Rachel Courtney shared that the idea took root during discussions initiated by Cathy and Tony Folcarelli, the visionary owners of 10 West Espresso, who were keen on reviving the town’s farmers market legacy.

As conversations flourished, Courtney, along with Kali Furlong, took the reins in organizing the event, soon joined by Melissa Underwood, the director of the Mansfield Chamber of Commerce. Rooted in the town’s rich agricultural heritage, the market aims to celebrate local producers and farmers while fostering community engagement.

Expect an eclectic mix of vendors at each market, offering everything from fresh produce and freezer beef to eggs, maple products, honey, homemade jewelry, and artisanal soap. The market kicks off at 2 p.m. and continues until 7, providing ample time for attendees to explore and indulge in the offerings.

One of the highlights of the Mansfield Final Friday Market is the presence of live farm animals, courtesy of the Southern Tioga FFA members. Each month, a different species will be showcased, adding an interactive and educational dimension to the event.

But the excitement doesn’t end there! Local brick and mortar businesses are encouraged to join in the festivities by extending their hours and offering special sales, classes, or activities, further enriching the overall experience for attendees.

Adding to the vibrant atmosphere, each market will feature its own unique theme, complemented by live music and free activities for kids. It’s a chance for the community to come together, celebrate local talent, and enjoy the best that Mansfield has to offer.
