A perfect location if you are looking to go to the LLWS and the Grand Canyon of PA as this is about in the middle. Lots of hiking and bike trails. Thanks for assisting us with completing a bucket list item!
The host was very responsive and helpful. The home is in a great location near the park and it is very quiet.
The property is exactly as pictured online and we enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is well equipped for simple meal preparations… we kept it simple but there is a nice selection of cookware and bakeware as well as place settings for a larger group. All the kitchen appliances are in good working order. The main purpose of our stay was to ride the Pine Creek Rail Trail and for this trip we wanted to bike the southern end. It was about a half hour drive down to Jersey Shore. Reaching some of the middle points of the PCRT is an easy drive as well. Saturday was a rainy day so we planned a road trip up to the Finger Lakes Region of New York so it mad a good “base of operation” even for that area. Part of our trip was just chilling out series binging on the Hallmark Channel (Brought our own ROKU).
We were visiting family nearby and needed a place to stay. This home fit our needs. The grounds and surrounding area were absolutely gorgeous. It was quiet and very easy to find. I loved the fact that they hosts recycle most trash. The only thing I would prepare a future guest for is the entryway. You come in through the garage which is fine except we were greeted with a smell that was off-putting. Continue through. The house is fine. There is a great coffee pot but bring your own coffee.
We celebrated our son's 8th birthday over a weekend at the end of September. The lodge was very cozy and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We had our family of 4 plus my parents. Plenty of room for everyone. We attended an event at the Clinton County Fairgrounds and forgot the boy's chairs and luckily they had extra camp chairs that we were able to use. Great amenities and everything you need to make your stay out in the beautiful PA wilds easy and memorable.
Great place to go to be able to disconnect and relax!
