What a wonderful house! Very clean and cozy. Great selection of kitchen gadgets. We really didn't have to bring anything other than the food itself! The back deck was a favorite spot for us. Having my morning coffee to the sound of the birds was lovely. It is true, the driveway requires a decent AWD/4WD car/truck to get up. This house has a great location, super close to the top of the gorge and only about 15min to Wellsboro.

We really enjoyed a relaxing extended weekend here. Would love to come back and stay longer. It’s a perfect location between the town of Wellsboro and other local attractions.

Loved ringing in the new year in this beautiful cabin! Beautiful private setting and very close to downtown Wellsboro. The cabin was extremely clean - never been to a place this pristine and well kept. Pictures don’t do justice - just absolutely loved our time at this gorgeous cabin. Got lucky and even got a bit of snow. The hosts were very responsive and communicative! Can’t wait to be back!

We loved our girls weekend. The property was spacious and cozy, we felt right at home. The location was nice, tucked in the mountain side, but not too far off the beaten path.

Canyon Lodge was a wonderful place to stay for our family vacation. The place was spotless when we arrived. Lots of nice, fresh linens were provided. The living room was comfortable and spacious. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen amenities were great; loved the pots and pans! We had a great time during our visit!

Canyon Prospect is a great place to get away. It's tucked up on a hillside, woods all around. The house is very well maintained. We would book again!!!

We had a great 2nd annual parents weekend! This was our second time visiting this house and just like the first time the place was wonderful, clean and overall give a five star rating! Can’t wait for next year!

Canyon Prospect Lodge is in a great location. Close to several state parks. We had a great time exploring the parks, biking on the Pine Creek Trail and kayaking with the Pine Creek outfitters. The house was close to all. We also had fun exploring Wellsboro which was only a 15 minute drive away. We had an outdoor fire each night which was so relaxing and a great way to end the day. Only difficulty was finding the driveway. GPS had us overshoot the entrance, but with practice we got better at finding it! We would also recommend bringing water for drinking, etc. The tap water has a very strong sulfur smell.

We had a great vacation exploring the Pa grand canyon and Wellsboro. After exciting days it was nice to relax and unwind at this beautiful house. We especially enjoyed the butterflies and hummingbirds that were in abundance. We made good use of the large deck for meals and for stargazing. We hope to return when Leonard Harris State Park is open and to make it to Cherry Hills next time as well.

We booked this location based on the close proximity of the Tioga/Potter County ATV trail systems. We had a blast.

A perfect spot for a hiking and biking getaway in the PA Grand Canyon. We’re happy we took their suggestion to bring water - the sulfur smell was a bit overpowering but with bottled water and airing the house out we got used to it.

We stayed for 3 nights for a girls’ weekend. The property was private and the house was perfect for our needs. It was very clean and well maintained inside and the pictures don’t do it justice. The only reason we couldn’t give 5 stars is because of the sulfur smell of the water that the other reviewers mentioned. Although it wasn’t disclosed in the listing, we were notified prior to arrival. We did not think it would be more than a nuisance , but the smell was so pungent that it made showering unpleasant and was off-putting each time we turned on the faucet. Because if it, we agreed we would look for a different property next year. Otherwise, we very much enjoyed the home but would highly recommend a water treatment system for a 5 star experience.

This lodge was a perfect middle-of-nowhere place to take in nature! Driving distance to several parks, as well as plenty of space around the property makes it a great locale if you want to escape it all. Correspondence with the property owner was effortless; prompt response and will to work with when we were having delays. The only knock was the smell of sulfur from the well water, but we brought bottled water with us, so it wasn't much of  a problem.

The view from the deck is every bit as good as on the webpage. Sit among the trees and listen to birds calling. Access to Pine Creek is just a mile away. The lodge is furnished to a very high standard and has a well equiooed kitchen. Showers are very good. You might want to bring some bottled water as the water supply i ssomewhat sulfurous, as another reviewer has noted.

Super clean cabin. Perfect for 3 couples. Very close to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon and rail trail.

The only negative was the strong sulfur smell in the water. It was very off-putting. Luckily we brought jugs of water to use for coffee and cooking. Luckily, we were made aware of the issue along with the check-in information. I believe this should be mentioned in the listing so people would know before booking.

Clean house, good location, 100% privacy. The house has all the amenities, everything and more. They gave us a christmas tree! We had a very nice vacation!!!

The house was exactly what we expected and looked just like the photos. It was very clean, the furniture was new and comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook, and communication with the management company was very quick and informative. The location was lovely and we were lucky enough to be there during peak foliage season. It's very private and surrounded by trees. Keep your eye out for the driveway which can be easy to miss. The PA Grand Canyon was close and beautiful for sightseeing, birding, and hiking. We were glad that we decided to go into Wellsboro which was a pretty town that has preserved it's historic buildings. Make sure to go to the Main Street Creamery for ice cream! Thank you for a great stay in PA.

It is a beautiful house, clean and well equipped. MRV was very responsive with any questions we had. It’s a wonderful location. I highly recommend it anytime of year.

We had a great stay. I was looking for a quiet place for vacation and was fully satisfied with the location as well as the comfort and cleanliness of the house. The phone signal was not there at all, but I was able to communicate with the host once I logged into the wifi account at the house. The beds and the rest of the furniture in the house are very comfortable. It would be nice to have some tupperware in the kitchen to store the leftover food. Overall, it was very comfortable spot and a great location

We had a wonderful stay at Canyon Prospect. It was incredibly clean and well equipped. We took advantage of nearby hiking, local fall celebrations and the incredible restaurants downtown. The best part though was simply relaxing on the deck under the giant pines. Highly recommend Canyon Prospect!

A beautiful rental, with a beautiful location. We saw the Grand Canyon and did a lot of fishing on Pine Creek. We were able to ride our bikes and ATV on the property. We would love to rent this place again!

This house has exceeded expectations. I have rented through VRBO more than once and for the first time, my family and I were sad to leave. The X-box was a great surprise for my kids. House is in the middle of the woods. Back deck was amazing to relax, eat, and watch the stars. We even saw a BEAR walk by two days in a row!!!! House is extremely spacious and comfortable.

We will, we will definitely be returning.
